Today we brought Sophie to the vet for her amputation. I am a nervous wreck of a mommy today! But I know soon she will be home safe in our arms, waiting to be treated like a diva/princess she thinks she is now since her accident 🙂 That is ok with me though, I am just happy to have her back to as close to normal as we can get now! Also so happy to have joined this site and to have already started making new friends. For those of you who dont know, I also posted in share your story about all that happened to her when she got hurt. I am excited to be moving forward and hoping to be back on the road to having my happy hyper sophie girl back soon! Thank you everybody for all the love and support for me and Sophie!
Thinking of you – Get lots of rest while you’ve got the chance! Here’s hoping for an easy recovery.
Hug and Wags,
Judy and Baby
DEAR SOPHIES MOMMY
HI IT IS ME SPARKY TRIPAWD
I HAVE BEEN A TRIPAWD 4 YEARS. I CAN RUN AND JUMP AND CLIMB STAIRS AND GET UP ON THE BED. I DO NOT NEED HELP. TRIPAWDS CAN DO ANYTHING! SOPHIE WILL BE FINE AND HAPPY. DO NOT BABY HER TOO MUCH SO SHE WILL NOT GET FAT AND LAZY. I AM NOT FAT. I AM SCRAWNY. I GO WALKING EVERYDAY ONE MILE AND MOMMY. I HAVE FRIENDS TO VISIT IN THE BANK AND THE STORES. YOUR SOPHIE WILL GET TO BE FAMOUS WHEN SHE FEELS BETTER. YOU WILL TAKE HER OUT PLACES AND EVERYONE WILL SAY WHAT A LOVELY DOG! THEY WILL SAY WHAT HAPPENED TO HER LEG? YOU WILL HAVE TO PLAN WHAT TO SAY FOR THAT. THEY WILL NOT WANT TO LISTEN VERY LONG SO YOU HAVE TO PLAN A SHORT STORY.
GOOD LUCK TO SOPHIE NEW TRIPAWD.
LOVE FROM SPARKY THE VETERAN TRIPAWD DOG
Hoping things go really well and that Sophie bounces back quicker than average! Make sure to update when you have news. And we do celebrate weird things, like the first post-operative pee and poop. Any excuse for a party around here!
Shari
